madpixel is a one-person studio out of bologna, italy, founded by massimo albanese. we make tools that sit at the intersection of software, product design, and visual craft — the kind of tools we'd want to use ourselves on a sunday afternoon.

people who want their software to be a material, not a service.
what we believe
- own what you buy. perpetual licenses, drm-free fallbacks, offline-by-default. subscriptions are a fair trade for ongoing infrastructure (ai inference, model hosting), but they shouldn't gate software you already paid for.
- opinionated > configurable. every menu item is a small failure of design. we'd rather make four good choices than ship forty mediocre ones.
- compose, don't filter. our tools are procedural and node-based because the interesting work happens when you can take something apart and put it back differently.
- we use what we ship. if we wouldn't open it on a sunday, we don't ship it.
