terms of service

1. who we are

madpixel ("we", "us") is a sole-proprietor studio based in italy, run by massimo albanese. contact: hello@madpixel.com.

2. what you're buying

when you purchase a madphase license, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software on up to three machines you control. the license is yours forever; we cannot revoke it except in cases of fraud or chargeback.

3. subscriptions ("active")

the optional "active" subscription unlocks ai-powered features and ongoing updates. it renews monthly or yearly until cancelled in the customer portal. cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4. refunds

14-day refund window for eu/uk customers under standard consumer-rights statutes, with the usual caveat for digital goods you've already activated. outside the eu/uk, refunds at our discretion within 14 days. TODO: confirm exact policy

5. acceptable use

don't redistribute the binary, don't share license keys, don't try to defeat the license check. if you want a volume or team license, email us.

6. liability

the software is provided "as is" without warranty. our liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months. TODO: real liability language

7. changes

we may update these terms; material changes will be announced via email to customers and on this page. continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
